What Is Polymeric Aluminium Chloride Used For?

 Polymeric aluminium chloride (PAC) is one of the most effective water treatment chemicals in use today. It is widely used for drinking water and wastewater treatment because it offers high coagulation efficiency and the widest range of pH and temperature applications compared to other water treatment chemicals. This high efficiency increases plant capacity and reduces operating costs.

 

PAC has a very low impact on pH, thus minimising the need for pH regulating chemicals, which further reduces operating costs. PAC is used in the paper industry to improve drainage rates in neutral and alkaline processes, as a retention aid to improve sizing efficiency and to reduce cation requirements.
